innovation research program investigates a broad range of issues
related to the interface between innovation policy and the economy. At
the moment, it is engaging in specific research directions on the
following topics: (a) the institutional structure of science and the
design of policies towards intellectual property protection and grant-
based funding of research and development; (b) the promotion of
innovation in environmentally-friendly technologies in the face of
policies to deal with climate change and (c) innovations that enhance
the provision of competition-enabling information in markets
